The hosts of the FIM Speedway U21 World Championship are revealed

The FIM has published the calendar for this year's FIM Speedway U21 World Championship, where the best youth riders in the World will compete in a three-round series.

Due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and local restrictions in 2020, only a one-day final of the Championship was able to be held in Pardubice, Czech Republic. It was Jaimon Lidsey from Australia who was the winner of this event and the title.

In 2021, the series will return to its traditional format with three finals in three different countries. The first final will be held in Stralsund - Germany on 4 September, followed by Krosno - Poland on 25 September, with Pardubice - Czech Republic on 1 October bringing the championship to a close.

The FIM Speedway U21 World Championship finals will be preceded by three qualifying rounds, which will be held on 12 June in Manchester – Great Britain, Riga – Latvia and Güstrow - Germany.

Armando Castagna, FIM Track Racing Director: “I am very happy to see the full championship back again. 2020 has been a tough year for everyone on the professional, private and sporting sides, but the FIM, One Sport and our organisers are ready to make 2021 happen in the best possible way.”
